Samantha Ruth Prabhu is an Model and as well as Indian film actress who has appeared in Telugu and in Tamil films. She was born to Malayali Mother and Telugu Father on April 28th 1987 in India . She was also called as Yasodha . Samantha was brought up in Chennai,Tamil Nadu and she becoming fluent in the Tamil Language.She looks as a Tamilian as she was brought up in Tamil Nadu. She use to speak in Tamil and English at her home. As a part of her education Samantha completed her degree in Commerce background at StellaMarisCollege in Chennai

Samantha was signing up to several Tamil films earlier including in the movie Moscowin Kaveri which is a forthcoming movie . This movie is a Indian Tamil romantic film written and directed by Ravi Varman . This movie is expected to release in the year 2010 after nearly three years of production. And her first telugu release film Ye Maaya Chesave directed and written by Gautham Menon which was released on February 2010. She acted along with Naga Chaitanya who was son of famous actor Nagarjuna and grandson of Akkineni Nageswara Roa. This movie features a successful music soundtrack composed by A.R. Rahman. This film is a remake of the Tamil film Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa directed by Gautham Menon which features Silambarasan Rajendar and Trisha Krishanan in the lead roles.This Tamil movie created much anticipation prior to release . This film portrays Samantha as the lead character of Jessie as a Malayali Christian girl living in Hyderabad whom the male protaganist character played by Naga Chaitanya falls in love with her . After the movie was release Samantha received very positive reviews for her portrayal and also with the film garnering much critical acclaim. Her performance in this movie was extraordinary and her beauty is adding that she was the girl to watch out for .She got the best complimants for this movie that she is the one of the best heroine debuts in Telugu cinema . Samantha along side her co-star Naga Chaitanya also appeared in a guest appearance in the Tamil version of the film. Ravi Varman’s in his film Moscowin Kaveri introduced a host of new actors with the music played by Thaman . Once in the interview Ravi Varman mentioned that he decided that Samantha would be the lead actress for his film within three minutes after viewing one of her commercial assignments. In his interview he went on to descrinbe her as an actress with intelligence and potential in all the actress. And her third film Baana Kaathadi which is a forthcoming 2010 Indian Tamil film written and directed by Badri Venkatesh . She acted opposite Adharvaa. Following agreeing terms in early 2009 the film has continued shoot for a year and a release is likely later in the year 2010 .First Samantha is said to play a role in Tamil Cinema as a student of the National Institue of Fashion Technology. She has also recently signed in Vamsi Paidipally’s film Brindaavam in which she has a supporting role alongside with Juniour NTR and Kajal Aggarwal.
